Agitated Glass Nutsche Filter

High-Efficiency Agitated Filtration System for Solid–Liquid Separation

The Agitated Glass Nutsche Filter (AGNF) is a closed, single-vessel filtration system engineered for efficient solid–liquid separation, cake washing, drying, and discharge under vacuum or pressure conditions. Constructed from premium Borosilicate Glass 3.3, this system ensures maximum chemical resistance, thermal stability, and complete visual process monitoring.

Designed for pharmaceutical, fine chemical, and pilot-plant operations, the Agitated Glass Nutsche Filter combines filtration and agitation in one hygienic unit, significantly reducing product handling, contamination risk, and batch processing time.

The Agitated Glass Nutsche Filter integrates a mechanically driven agitator, filter plate, and jacketed glass vessel into a single sealed assembly. This configuration allows operators to perform filtration, washing, reslurrying, and drying without transferring material between vessels.

The agitation system improves filtration efficiency, cake permeability, and washing uniformity, making it superior to conventional non-agitated filtration setups.

How the Agitated Glass Nutsche Filter Works

Slurry is charged into the filtration vessel
Vacuum or pressure is applied to initiate filtration
Liquid phase passes through the filter plate
Solid cake forms uniformly on the filter surface
Agitator assists in cake washing or reslurrying
 Optional drying under vacuum
Final product discharged through bottom valve

All steps occur in a single enclosed system
